We woke up super early this morning (4:00am (11:00pm NZ)) and took a 3 hour flight to Minneapolis (Minneapolis airport was amazing. It was like a little town it was huge but still accomidating)
before taking a long walk through the airport and then taking a short one hour flight to Des Moines (said De Moine (it's French)) we cruised down to the local mall which was scary empty.
Louis- it was like a ghost town from a movie #GHOSTTOWN:0. (Yes it was open)
We spent the night in Des Moines after an amazing American dinner.
Hayley- The meals were huge! America is everything times ten!
The next day, after a complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. We took a shuttle to Iowa State University (which is huge!) we arrived and waited around for regestration to open. We got offered cheesy signs to take photos with.
We settled in and had a lunch at subway after a walk. We also talked to some people from other country's ( they all loved our accents!).
An Austrailian coach approached us about including a individual in our team for the dramatic presentation and we all agreed to have her with us. We met her last night and played cards with her.
We had dinner early but none of us were really hungry. There was so much to choose from! It was like a little all you can eat food court.
